i know...shame on me!

how dare i say i am going to post more pictures and then make you wait two days! at least it was only two days and not two weeks!! gamma and grampa and chris all made it safely down to morrisville (late) last night. we have quite the holiday weekend planned! barbeque for dinner tonight, wilmington and the ocean with elizabeth and sophie tomorrow...it will be a lot of fun. To get the weekend started off the right way, here are the promised pics:

the rest are from a couple weeks ago, when elizabeth, sophie, thalia and i were all in michigan for a weekend. aunt jen got the girls the most adorable matching outfits...needless to say, it took quite some time to get a 2 month old, a 14 month old, and an 18 month old to all be in the same place looking in the same direction!
good thing grampa was there with a story!

and by the way, i forgot a few words that thalia can say now: duck, dog, woof woof (kinda), elbow, daddy, bye bye, and socks :o) gotta do my little one justice!

5 days!!

so i left michigan last sunday...only to return the following friday. meaning i was gone for all of 5 days, while thalia stayed in michigan with her daddy so she didn't have to fly so much in such a short amount on time. when i got back on friday, all of a sudden my daughter has 3 new teeth and like 4 new words!!! what the heck! daddy also taught thalia how to give double high fives. needless to say she had a great time with him. since many of you can't see us all the time, i thought i would run down the list of words thalia can "say"-
apple, shoes, hot, hot dog, tractor (chris and grampa are VERY proud of those last two), apple juice...those are all the ones i can think of. i am sure there are more.
thalia is very bright though. she knows where her eyes, ears, hair, nose, teeth, and toes are. and you can tell her to go get something in the room and she'll look around, find whatever object you asked her to find, and bring it back to you! she is also learning how to ride her scoot-around bike. such a big girl!!!
i have more pics from the wedding, as well as some adorable pics of the phillips cousins. i will put them on here when i get to work.

uncle barrett is officially uncle barrett!!! and aunt seffi is officially the new mrs. wimer!

thalia was not the only sickie last week...turns out grandpa, aunt nikki, yiayia, aunt seffi, martha mama, me and probably chris all got some kind of something last week. chills, fever, cough, sore throat, aches, pains. what a big mess. yiayia completely lost her voice the day of the wedding! isn't that awful?! aunt nikki was sick almost the entire week, including the day of the wedding. martha, chris, and i all got sick after the wedding. what a mess!

by the way, thalia LOVED holding her little bouquet ball! she put that bad boy on her arm and was ready to go. look at her adorable bow (and dress) that yiayia made for her!! she actually kept it on for the whole wedding!

congratulations barrett and steph! we love you and are so happy for you guys! have a great time in greece!!!

poor little sickie

after an amazing weekend filled with visiting family and friends, my little one has come down with an ear infection. while that doesn't sound too terrible, i should tell you that she got the ear infection because she picked up a stuffy nose from a new friend at her new school, which turned into a runny nose, which turned into a fever-runny nose, which turned into a fever-runny nose-cough, which turned into a fever-runny nose-barking cough-ear infection. i mean, look how pitiful she looks!
my poor baby. good thing yiayia and papou are here to save the day and fill an antibiotic prescription!! (yiayia is good for cuddles too!)
hopefully she starts to feel better so she can be the second star of aunt steffi's wedding (aunt steffi will obviously be first!!) yiayia made her a lovely dress, and even a headband - with a barrette backup. more pics to come including some from saturday with thalia's two cousins, before the evil sickies go to her!
